Development of a Data-Glove System for Finger Rehabilitation of Hemiplegic Patients

Abstract

|
Hemiplegic patient¡¯s finger control is crucial for examination and must be preceded. But existing devices for finger rehabilitation are too large to carry and uncomfortable for a person to operate. In this paper, we developed a data-glove to solve this problem, which is made with slim and flexible force senstive resistor. With this data-glove we performed an experiment by grasping objects while putting the glove on. After the data receive and analysis, we could verify that our data-glove gave near identical performance to that of commercial force-feedback device.
